Korean Skincare update

In this blogpost I will share a short update of all the Korean Skincare products that I am currently using in my skincare routine. I have a long standing relationship with K beauty and Korean Skincare products. I suffered from several skin related issues from my teenage years. Ever since discovering Korean Skincare products, they have been actively supporting in my skincare struggles.

Skin stories

Two years back, in the month of May 2023, we moved to Shillong. It was a sudden change in our life’s course. New place, new people,new settings. It was all extreme overwhelming. Exactly how overwhelmed I felt, was graphically displayed on my skin. I suddenly found myself going through one of the worst breakout phases after a very long time. A lot of upheaval happened in between. First time in my life, I found some clarity regarding why I have always suffered from acne issues. I was diagnosed with PCOS which is both caused by and also causes huge hormonal disruptions. Suddenly I found answers to many questions that I have been asking myself since my teenage years. You know the skin related why me’s that most teens are tormented by. Unfortunately for me, those issues chased me well into my adult years!

Korean Skincare Products

Anyway back to the skincare regime that I am following these days. With God’s grace my skin has cleared up a lot and I have stopped having those pesky pimples for quite many months now.

Cleansing and Exfoliating

For cleansing I rotate between the Klairs Black sugar deep cleansing foam, Some by Mi Bye bye blackhead bubble cleanser. The recent addition in my cleansers is the Goodall Vitamin C foaming cleanser. I exfoliate once a week and use the Klairs Black sugar scrub and the Cosrx Low Ph Peeling Gel.Sometimes when I feel like using a wash off mask I use the Skinfood Egg White Pore mask or the Rice Daily Brightening wash off Mask.

Toner,Serum and Moisturizer

I sometimes skip the toner during daytime and at night use the Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA Miracle tea tree toner. For serum I use the Ordinary Niacinamide toner. Moisturizer for me is the Cosrx Ceramide barrier repair cream and the Requil Ceramide cream. Sunscreen that I use these days is the Beauty of Joseon Relief sun rice and Probiotics sunscreen and the Innisfree Tone up No sebum sunscreen.Those are the Korean skincare Products that I am using these days.

Touch wood these have been helping me keep my skin squeaky clean and blemish free.
