All of us who are in 9 to 5 jobs, look forward to weekends like a sunflower looks towards the sun. The entire week is spent working hard only looking forward to ushering in the weekend.
For me and Firoze, the weekend feeling sets in from Thursday evening itself! So Thursday involves some after office fun. That may be a movie date, coffee date or a dinner date!
Then comes Friday itself and our joy knows no bounds. We feel like free birds as there is no tension of waking up and going to office the next day. However I do have to get up by 7 am on weekends too as my cook arrives by then. But that does not feel so cumbersome as it does on weekdays!
This Thursday we visited a beautiful café near Ballygunge called Craft Coffee Experience Centre. It is an awesome café which is built like a deck with a mango tree in the middle. The entire setup was magical.
The tree itself gave me a feeling of the magic Faraway tree in one of my favourite Enid Blyton books, The Enchanted Woods.
Firoze had the iced cappuccino and I tried a drink called “Caphe” which was strong espresso served with a dash pf condensed milk and ice.
Since we went there after office, both of us were hungry. So we decided to try the barbeque chicken pizza which was a thin crust pizza with juicy chicken pieces and delicious olives( I usually dislike olives).
The experience
The waiters there were extremely warm and friendly. A sweet girl who was serving at our table . She explained to us about the organic honey, spices and coffee that they source from farms in South India. They make their own cheese and bread too. I bought a milk loaf from them which was priced at Rs 100/-. Our total bill was around Rs. 800/-.
Overall our date at Craft Coffee Experience center was a fun experience . Great coffee, good food, wonderful ambience and friendly waters makes this cafe a must visit.
So we ushered in the weekend with an exceptionally memorable coffee date
We are now gearing up for the fun to start this weekend with a vacation coming up!
I’m participating in #BlogchatterA2Z and this is the U post.
