Jackpot skincare serums

Skincare is a longtime passion of mine. As I am blessed with very sensitive skin, I am extremely careful regarding the actives and skincare serums that I use in my routine. Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, collagen peptides, niacinamide and a few mild AHA’s like lactic acid are the actives that my skin can tolerate as of now. I have hit the pause button on the BHAs and other strong actives for the time being. Skincare serums have targeted action and a little serum goes a long way. But be very careful not to go overboard on actives. I usually try to stick to one serum at a time as layering them may give rise to some complications.

Current favourite skincare serums: The Formula RX Air Brush Facial Review Lactic Acid treatment

The newest favorite is the Formula RX Lactic Acid treatment that I have used thrice till now and there is a visible difference! It refines pores, removes dead cells and gives a cleaner and brighter appearance. I top it of with a ceramide/ peptide moisturizer And my night time routine is taken care of! It has not broken me out and given visible results from the first use itself.

Lactic Acid for skin

Lactic acid is basically an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) present in milk and curd. It works as a mild exfoliant by gently removing dead cells, lightening spots, reducing hyperpigmentation. We all know about the famous Egyptian queen Cleopatra and her beauty enhanced by milk baths! Lactic acid helps to remove the older, dull and dead cells on the skin’s surface by dissolving the bonds that hold them together. It fastens cell turnover and skin renewal. This results in glowing and brighter complexion as well as smoother and softer skin. Other than being the mildest AHA out there, lactic acid also helps the skins built in process of hydration by enhancing natural moisturizing factors . Its important to remember that like all other exfoliants, lactid acid also makes the skin sun sensitive. So sun protection is a must.
