Mugwort skincare products recommendation

I have personally used two Korean beauty skincare products with Mugwort as a primary ingredient.

I’m From Mugwort Essence review

Essence is a skincare product in K- beauty which is used after a toner/ skin and before a serum. The I’m From Mugwort essence consists of a single ingredient i.e 100% mugwort extract from Ganghwa. It is specially recommended for sensitive irritated skin and works to calm and soothe the skin.

  • Very light watery texture, immediately absorbed by my skin.
  • Calming and soothing to the skin which gives a moisturised and hydrated feeling.
  • No strong smell.
  • No burning.
  • It layered easily with other products
  • Calmed my skin during active breakout without any adverse effects.
  • Its pricey

Isntree Spot saver Mugwort calming ampoule review

Mugwort

This product contains 85% mugwort extract. special cold brew technique called Time-Drop method for extraction. This helps retain the efficacy of the active ingredients in Mugwort extract. Other than that this ampoule has calendula flower extract, licorice extract, glycerine, ceramides, panthenol and kava kava plant extract. All of these ingredients act together to strengthen the akin barrier, prevent acne and calm the skin

  • I apply this ampoule after Hyaluronic acid toner and it makes my skin look bright and hydrated even after a long hot day in office.
  • Absorbed easily into the skin after applying toner, essence.
  • Layered easily without pilling
  • No burning
  • I will have to try this for a longer time to give the full review.

To conclude, I would suggest that you can freely use the I’m from essence to calm your skin. For the Isntree Mugwort ampoule you can slowly ease it in if you have a damaged skin barrier. Since it has multiple ingredients, its best to check sensitive skins reaction to it before jumping all in.
