Skincare is one of my favorite topics. I am always on the lookout for Skincare Secrets. It enthralls me as well as terrifies me. Enthralls me because like every other girl I am always asking myself “How can I get flawless skin?”. Another thing I wonder about often is “how do models get glowing skin?” and so on.
Now coming to the terrifying part. I have had quite a tumultuous skin journey. So I am terrified of experimenting with new products. One mistake could result in a horrific breakout episode which would then take weeks even months to tame down.
Dot and Key Range
Luckily I have been blessed by the Skin Gods in the last 1 and a half years. I discovered a new range of skin care products which have worked gentle wonders for my skin. This is the Dot and Key skincare range. They are an Indian brand which claim to bring to us “the key to a longer-lasting, deeper and more meaningful version of beautiful”. They develop highly targeted skin remedial products in which the ingredients, textural all are closely monitored, formulated and repeatedly tested. Dot and Key products are promised to be completely free of nasties like
I have bought and used many of their products from their range. In a series of posts I will give you my genuine feedback and reviews about their efficacy. I promise that I have actually used all the products that I will review and will give only my honest opinions.
Dot and Key 72 hour Hydrating Gel + Probiotics
I have oily to combination skin. My number one skin care secret is the Dot and Key 72 hour Hydrating Gel + Probiotics Previously it used to be acne prone but now luckily its stable. I am actually scared writing this now as I am a bit superstitious about zits! Anyway back to the point. I am always on the look out for moisturizers that will not leave my skin feeling oily and sticky.
What I like?
The dot and key 72 hour gel is exactly that thing. It is a light water based gel that my skin seems to drink up on application. It is not oily and heavy. The best part is it makes my skin see plump, luminous and glowing on application. It has a very mild and pleasent smell. I apply a sunscreen over it when I go out.
Plus they have added probiotics a.k.a good bacterias. Probiotics I guess help to keep the acne causing horrid bacteria at bay and I have not suffered any acne or whiteheads after applying this gel. I apply this gel on clean washed face when I feel too lazy to layer on the toner, serum and all the works.
Its been nearly 6 months that I have been using it. So all in all this is a 5 star skin product for me.
I can not vouch for the 72 hours hydration parts as I have never gone 72 hours without washing my face. But overall this is a good hydrating moisturizing gel which you should not miss out on.
The price of the product is medium range ( 60 ml for Rs 650/- approx)and for me it is worth it.
Ingredients
The ingredients seem to be of high quality as till now my skin has responded very positively to it. For details of how each of this ingredients work, you can check out this site that decodes skin ingredients on a scientific basis. I love this site www.incidecoder.com which analyses skin care product ingredients. It is my go to place before I try out anything new for my skincare regime.
The packaging is very cute and each glass jar is topped with a white hat like lid which makes them unique.
Dot and Key has great offers on their website and always give wonderful freebies on any purchase. You can buy the 72 hour Hydrating Gel here and get an extra 10% discount with the code GINIA10.
