Persian Buttercups and Camellia japonica
The exotic plants of Shillong keep surprising me every month. In February, it’s the turn of Persian Buttercups and Camellia japonica flowers to mesmerize and fill the heart with cheer and warmth.
Yellow, white, pink, red, orange, peach, magenta….name the colour and the Buttercups are ready with it!
Most of the Camellia plants in Shillong are large trees, and I could admire the beautiful intricate rose like flowers only from afar. I would wish and wish to get one flower in my eye level so that I could take a nice photograph. Today I got a chance to do that and clicked a few photos of red Camellia flowers.
I have two buttercup plants in my balcony garden as well. One pink and one red. My flowers have always given me a lot of joy.
However you should be careful while handling buttercup plants as they are toxic beauties! They should not be eaten in any form, and crushed leaves may cause dermatitis. So beware around these multi-hued beauties!
My flowers have always given me a lot of joy.
It’s stunning.I love the name too.
