Review of Clinique Moisture Surge and Freshly pressed Vitamin C

I have been plagued with very sensitive, combination to oily skin from my teenage years. It was nearly impossible for me to try out different skin care products as if I did so, invariably my face will be covered with small rashes or a severe breakout of acne. Then I discovered Clinique Moisture surge! What is Clinique Moisture surge used for? Is Clinique Moisture Surge worth it? I will answer all these questions and more in this post.

This caused a lot of problem. I developed a mortal fear of all moisturisers. This resulted in my skin being constantly dehydrated and parched with a huge pigmentation problem. It was impossible for me to apply any moisturiser at all as my face would become an actual pool of oil within no time at all!

Magic of Clinique

Then I discovered the magic
products of a brand called Clinique. It soon became my holy grail for nearly all my skin concerns.
Clinique Moisture Surge range has two varieties of moisturiser.
Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator is great for oily skinned beauties during the hot summer months. It gives the skin the adequate amount of moisture and hydration without any oiliness. You are left with dewy soft and oilfree happy skin!

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator is great during the dry winter months as it is a bit on the heavier side.

Now lets come to another holy grail product which is at the top of my favourite list. Clinique Fresh Pressed 7-Day System With Pure Vitamin C works like pure magic on my skin.

Clinique Fresh pressed Vitamin C

Vitamin C plays a huge role in reducing pigmentation and brightening the overall complexion. But the active compounds in it easily get oxidised causing them to loose their potency. Clinique has overcome this problem in this product form which is a 7 day system.
It comprises of a powder face wash in single use pouches and an activated serum that has to be mixed with regular moisturiser.

This product has given me the most brightest and clearest skin that I can remember in the recent past. It is absolutely marvellous!

The only downside to Clinique products is the price tag. It is a bit of a challenge for me to afford these high end luxe products but the upside is I hardly need to go for facials or any other treatments in parlours. So whatever I save there I splurge on buying these superb magical products!!
One of the most important thing to remember regarding skin care products is that all products do not behave the same with all skin types. So it is very important to carry out a patch test on the inner corner of your elbow before applying on the face.

P.S This is not a sponsored post and I bought all the products myself. These products worked well for me, but be sure to do a patch test.

  1. With a skin similar to yours, Super-sensitive and Combination, I swear by Clinique too. The price tag does pinch in the long run, yes. I’ve found an Indian substitite that is as good and at less than half the price of Clinique. I would be happy to share the details with you.

    • Thanks a lot. Please please DM me the details on twitter/fb/email. i will be eternally grateful to u 🙂

  2. I love Clinique, too. I try never to miss Bonus Time. It’s a great time to stock up what I use and get free things. It happens twice a year at Macy’s and Dillards down here in Florida.
