I practice this 5 minute miracle technique of getting mentally relaxed before getting into the day’s grind esp. when there is a hectic day ahead.

This started sometime in 2019 at a hotel(resort) I was staying at during my official field trips. The suite room in the resort had a wonderful seating and study space with a special cane bamboo chair with just the right height and inclination. I ditched the sofa present there.

When I am on an official tour, I have to travel long distances on a daily basis; each day at different places. The field traverses has to be planned a day before for smooth operation. Else, we would end up making last minute bad choices about the route. Result: Less efficiency, less technical output.
The routine
Usually, we start our field traverses around 8:30 am to 9 am. Somehow, I always have to hurry up since I get up at around 8 am. Finishing every necessary work like getting freshened up, breakfast buffet within that 30-45 mins feels like a challenge. And, somehow if it crosses a minute post 9 am, I don’t feel good about it.
That 5 minute seating
So, after completing all these, finally I wear the shoe, and sit on a chair with my arms rested over the chair’s armrest, for just five minutes and do a ‘shut eye’ and keep quiet. Believe me friends, this is very soothing and helps me reset to a peaceful mental space before I start off for the day. Because of this simple step, the mind stays clear throughout the day, i choose to believe.

I have even tried it on my normal office days and it works the same way. I request anyone reading this try it once and let me know!!
Thanks in advance 🙂
