Walnut,Apple and Honey Cake recipe
This Walnut,Apple and Honey Cake was baked as a Diwali gift for a neighbour.
Ingredients
½ cup chopped Apples½ tsp lemon juice
10 Walnuts chopped
Buttermilk ½ cup
3 eggs
4tbsp organic brown sugar (40 gm)
6 tbsp organic raw honey ( 60 gm)
1/2 cup Melted Butter (50gm)
2 tbsp Buttermilk/Curd
Vanilla Extract 1.5 tsp
1 & ¾ cups All purpose Flour/ Organic maida ( 175 gm)
1 ½ tsp Baking powder
½ tsp Sea salt
10 Walnuts chopped

1 & ¾ cups All purpose Flour/ Organic maida ( 175 gm)
1 ½ tsp Baking powder
½ tsp Sea salt
Method
Chop the apples.
Mix lemon juice with the chopped apples.
Make Buttermilk by mixing wm1/2 cup warm milk with ½ tsp each of baking vinegar and lemon juice.
Beat 3 eggs with 4 tbsp organic brown sugar until frothy and thick.
Add the honey and mix.
Sieve in the flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix gently by cut and fold method.
Add the melted butter.
Add in the buttermilk.
Mix well by cut and fold method.
Add in the chopped walnuts and apples. Mix.
Pour into a lined and greased cake mould.
Bake at 180 degree celsius for 30 to 40 minutes.
