Kaziranga- The Ecological Wonder

Kaziranga: A Pictorial Tour

The last one year was very special. It is not every day that you get the opportunity to actually live through a dystopian world! Finally now the pandemic induced travel restrictions, have been lifted to some extent. So, on a trip to hubby’s hometown, we ventured out for a road trip to Kaziranga, a Unesco world heritage site. It is an ecological wonder and one of its kind amongst all the forests we have visited previously. Visiting this forest helped us to soothe our travel deprived soul which has survived through this pandemic. Nature is truly the best healer. This is why it is of extreme importance for all of us to do our best to look out for our environment.

The inhabitants of Kaziranga

At Kaziranga, we visited the central and eastern sector. The animals which blessed us with the sighting included the unique one horned Rhinoceros, elephants, wild buffalo, deers, monkeys and a wide variety of birds. Equipped with a pair of powerful binoculars, Kaziranga can be safely classified as a bird watchers paradise.

This pictorial post is the first part of a series on Kaziranga.
