Delulu Solulu?

How many of you know the meaning of the words Delulu and Solulu? Till a few months ago, even I was blissfully unaware of these two words. But apparently they are popular internet words used by Gen Z. But when I realised the significance of these terms, I realised even if I don’t knew the words, I actually follow the general principal.

“Delulu is the solulu” is a phrase which means “delusion is the solution,” . This emphasizes the power of self-belief and optimism to achieve seemingly far fetched goals. This system of belief is said to be a spin off of the more commonly millennial practice of the manifestation movement.

As I was reading up on this, I realised that I am totally “ delulu” but did not realize that it was the “solution”!

Being “delulu” is mainly centered around being supremely optimistic and having an overtly hopeful and positive mindset.

According to Forbes.com the delulu mindset helps in two major ways.

Confidence And Self-Belief help to  pave the path to success.

Manifestation And Positive Thinking Fuels the  Journey To Growth.

I believe that a big part of my delulu is having an absurdly high faith in the inherent goodness of people.

Despite many examples in contrary, I still prefer to believe that everybody has some goodness in them however impossible it may seem to believe about some people!

This has helped me often and has also caused a lot of heartache. But still in someway it gives me peace at the end of the day.

Scientific Studies

According to this study, ‘Optimism fosters goal commitment and progress indirectly through goal expectancy” . “ Optimists are more likely than pessimists to report more perceived progress in their pursued personal goals”. So I guess being ridiculously optimistic does have some long term benefits in helping to achieve our life goals .

Another practice that I do is I try to find something positive or good about any life situation however unfavorable it may seem. Sometimes it gets very difficult but I try to stay on the top of things.

So my friends, it’s a good practice to try being a little “delulu” because it may be the ultimate “solulu”.

I’m participating in #BlogchatterA2Z and this is the “D” post.
