Handmade Dark Chocolate Truffles

Handmade Dark Chocolate truffles

My Sweet teeth story…. and how my handmade dark chocolate truffles satisfied them!I have a whole set of sweet teeth rather than a single sweet tooth. Any body who has grown up in a Bengali household will be familiar with that feeling of incompleteness without a sweet ending to any meal. Be it the cottony soft pillowy roshogolla after a luchi cholar dal breakfast, or the quintessential chatni after a lunch which may be as simple as dal, bhaat and alubhaja.

The above mentioned humble roshogolla

Mind it an elaborate lunch fit for a king with as many as 10 items is also deemed incomplete without amshotto tomator chatni and of course our favourite creamy and sinfully tasty mishti doi. So obviously being a Bengali I have a great love for sweet treats. My tongue and mind can not be convinced that a meal is over without giving it at least something sweet in the end.

Dark Chocolate Fudge in the making…

So great is my love for desserts, that I started baking and making my desserts from as young as 11. In the lockdown a.k.a home imprisonment during the Covid pandemic all the essential works that were mandatory to be done to keep the household running, left me with no energy to come up with my daily dessert dose.

So one fine evening, after completing my dinner my eye fell on a bar of dark chocolate sitting in my fridge. I could just have had one or maybe 2 pieces of it to satisfy the above mentioned sweet teeth , but no! I went and created a whole new set of dishes to wash for myself and came up with this quick and easy recipe for my dark chocolate truffles. It comes together in less than ten minutes and gives immense pleasure to my sweet teeth. Also the satisfaction and joy of creating delicious handmade dark chocolate truffles is supreme! 😍

P.S I usually use Amul or Cadbury dark chocolate for these truffles.
